Born in Vienna and emigrated to the United States after fleeing the Nazis at age seven, and spend another seven in Cuba. She studied Sociology, Anthropology and Law at the University of California. Los Angeles (UCLA), where she later impart lecture on gender and law. She has written works on the theory of human evolution, history of culture and models of cooperation. It is considered as a pioneer in holistic studies of humanity in the past, present and future. She is President of The Center for Partnership Studies of the World Future Council, where is also advisor. She is cofounder of the General Evolution Research Group (GERG) of the Spiritual Alliance to Stop Intimate Violence (VISA) and the World Commission on Global Consciousness and Spirituality as well as other feminist organizations. Is also responsible for the research area of the World Academy of Art and Science, the World Business Academy.
Has more than 300 published articles, among which are: “Behavioral Science”, “Futures”, “Political Psychology”, “The Christian Science Monitor”, and the UNESCO Journal – “Brain and Mind”, “Human Rights Quarterly”, “International Journal of Women’s Studies” and the “World Encyclopedia of Peace”.
For his extensive work in education and research, she has numerous honors and awards such as the Recognition Award in the First World Peace Encyclopedia, several honorary doctorates, Nuclear Age Peace Foundation Leadership Award, the First Prize Alice Paul ERA of Education and the Humanist Pioneer Award.

She is a consultant in the implementation of her cooperation models in governments and businesses; works to legislate in favor of children and women. She has exhibited his thinking to the United Nations, to the authorities of the government of Colombia (invited by the Bogotá Mayor), Czech Republic (invited by the President Vaclav Havel), before the German Parliament (invited by Rita Suessmuth, President) and other international bodies.
She is considered as the best heir of Lithuanian origin archeologist Marija Gimbutas, for her human evolution models and anthropology studies.
The international bestseller The Chalice and the Blade: Our History, Our Future (Harper Collins, San Francisco, 1987) was considered by the anthropologist Ashley Montagu as “the most important book from Darwin’s On the Origin of Species“. It was translated into 22 languages, including most European, Chinese, Russian, Korean, Hebrew and Japanese languages.
Her work of 2007, The Real Wealth of Nations: Creating a Caring Economics, proposes a new approach to the economy that provides visibility and value to the essentially human work: the work of worrying about people and the planet. She was considered by Archbishop Desmond Tutu as “a model for the better world that we have been seeking so desperately,” by Peter Senge as “desperately needed”, by Jane Goodall as a “call to action” and by Gloria Steinem as “revolutionary”.
