President of “EducarUno”
With a strong interest in solving the social problems experienced in Mexico, Alfonso began his work as social entrepreneur in 2004 with AC ConsensoUno based on four pillars: Education, Culture, Politics and Social Development.With a growing interest in the subject of Education, Alfonso created EducarUno in 2006, a new organization whose main premise is: “Education is the greatest hope of humanity” and “There´s no problem in the world that can´t be solved with a better education.”
EducarUno, has diverse projects like theDocet Institute, the contest “Design the Change” or the Eduactive Platform FutureEd. One of the most successful projects of EducarUno is the contest “Design the Change”. The competition, which originated in India, is present in more than 35 countries worldwide. In 2011, it was announced to more than 220,000 schools in Mexico, and it seeks to empower children and young people in becoming agents of change through four words: Feel, Imagine, Do and Share. Alfonso continues working to make this competition bigger every year and bring more countries and more children.
