Elizabeth Peredo (Bolivia)

Committed to the defense of human rights and the environment, she is a Bolivian social psychologist, researcher, writer and activist.

Until August 2015 she was director of the Solon Foundation in Bolivia, which aims to help people live in harmony with others in a world of solidarity, respect for life and nature.

From 2000, Elizabeth changed the outlook of the Foundation’s work focused on the rights of domestic workers, to the right to water, “our struggle has become a world model for the struggle for water justice.”

Following the “Water War”, worldwide known as one of the most important conflicts against globalization, she decided to devote herself to the struggle for the right to water, as the conflict made her realize that water is the engine of change. She is part of the Council of Advisors of the International Net for Justice in Global Investments.
