Andreas Müller studied the degree in Languages, Economics and Cultural
Specializing in Economics and Hispanic American culture at the Universities of Passau, Germany and Concepción in Chile. During his studies he did several internships in Mexico promoting the German culture. Since October 2003 he lives in Mexico and has worked as a teacher of German and history in the German School and as Assistant to the Commercial Counselor of the Austrian Embassy. In 2006 he joined the team of the Department of Economy and Commerce of the Delegation of the European Union to Mexico. There he was Aggregate of Commercial Cooperation and was in charge of issues of the Free Trade Agreement between Mexico and the European Union. He was also responsible for following up on the trade facilitation projects PROTLCUEM and PROCEI between the European Commission and the Ministry of Economy.
Since September 2011 he is Deputy Director of the Mexican Chamber of Commerce and Industry, CAMEXA. CAMEXA is with 800 partners the second largest bilateral chamber in Mexico and its mission is to strengthen bilateral economic relations between Mexico and Germany. Its main areas of work are the support to German companies in its landing in Mexico, the representation of the most important fairgrounds in Germany and support in the increase of the competitiveness of German companies in Mexico and Mexican companies through offering training schemes And training.
Since 2013 he has been an advisor to Mexico’s privately organized initiative in the technical committee for the implementation of the Mexican Dual Training Model, endorsed by the Ministry of Public Education.
