Dr. Balagué served as Sub Secretary of Science, Technology and Innovation of the Province of Santa Fe. She is a Biochemist, graduated from the Faculty of Biochemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences (FCBYF) of the National University of Rosario (UNR) and obtained the doctor’s degree in the same discipline in 2001. She was dean of the Faculty of CBYF of the UNR in the periods 2003-2007 and 2007-2011. Balagué held the position of President of the Coordinating Body of Academic Units of Pharmacy and Biochemistry (ECUAF and B) in the period 2010-2012 and vice-president of the same entity during the periods 2005-2007 and 2007-2009. In the period 2000-2003 she served as Academic Under Secretary of the UNR and as Secretary of Student Welfare and Culture of the Faculty of Biochemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences during the years 1993 and 1994.
Balagué held a postdoctoral degree in the Microbiology Division of the National Center for Toxicological Research, Food and Drug Administration, Arkansas, USA. (2002). She is a graduate and postgraduate teacher in the areas of Biological Sciences, Food Science and Bacteriology and has been director of doctoral theses and master’s degrees in the FCBYF’s UNR career. She has participated in numerous projects of scientific research and teacher training, among them, “Support Projects for Higher Education III and IV,” accredited and subsidized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of the Nation and the Project BIO244 “Training of professionals in the field of health sciences, an analysis of training devices for professional practice in the careers of Biochemistry and Pharmacy,” accredited by the National University of Rosario. She is part of the Executive Board of the Socialist Party of Santa Fe, where she holds the position of Technical Secretary. Dr. Balagué is also the author of several publications of national and international reference and has participated in numerous congresses and presentations on teacher training,
university extension, scientific research, educational and university reform, among others.
