He is an Ishaya monk dedicated to helping mankind to experience peace.
The stress of being an entrepreneur in the last days of the Soviet Union led Greg to realize that there must be more out of life. This desire led him to a six month meditation retreat and a stable experience of inner peace. When he returned to his everyday life he realized that a person who maintains a stable peace experience had a significant impact on many others, and consciousness itself.
Einstein’s quote “No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it” had an impact on him. His passion is to help to make a change in consciousness for humanity to live harmoniously. This has led Greg to teach meditation courses, organizing retreats and speak in conferences on different over the past decade. He wrote a book and co-produced the documentary CHOICE, a film about people who have found inner peace.
Four years ago CERESO Apodaca (a correctional facility) was considered the most violent in Mexico’s prison system. During the filming process, the team visited this CERESO where 25% of inmates, guards and administrative staff meditates. Greg says that the visit was powerful “Peace and compassion was palpable. This shows that true freedom is within reach of everyone. ”
The purpose of this film is to show that peace is now happening in the lives of many people, whole communities, and it is also possible for humanity.
The documentary will be released in October 2016, in the Eight Worldwide Meeting on Human Values.
