Spanish journalist, writer and psychologist; at the age of 12 Irene suffered a serious attack from the terrorist group ETA with his mother, as a result of the explosion of a bomb, lost both legs and three fingers of his left hand.
She was delegated in Madrid of the Association of Victims of Terrorism until 2007; following his accident she has published books like Knowing that you can: Memories and reflections of a victim of terrorism and Knowing that you can: Twenty years later, in which talks about her experiences and reflections.
She writes in different newspapers and collaborates with different media. Renowned for being Paralympic alpine skier classified as LW12-2, she has won several gold medals competing at the national level, and was champion of Spain Cup in chair mode; in 2012 she won the Gold Antenna for his work on the television.
With an invitation to lay bare the soul and to share it with people, she published one of her most recent books entitled El Libroabrazo, stating in it, an opportunity for readers to be authors of their own history, allowing move from being spectators to protagonists.
