Juan Manuel was born in Salta in 1969, he began his militancy in the Justicialist Party as a teenager, a militancy that he never abandoned.
In 1993 he received a lawyer’s degree from the prestigious University of Buenos Aires, obtaining his degree in just three years.
Back in his province he exercised his profession and in 1995 he was appointed Secretary of State for the Government of the Province of Salta. From there begins a long career as a legislator in various public service positions.
In 2007, with an austere campaign, he is elected governor of the province for a period of four years.
Its management was characterized by the strong impetus to equity among the people of Salta, investment in education and health, the implementation of public works that have as immediate beneficiaries the population. The care of the environment and sustainable economic development were also pillars of his government.
In 2011, he was re-elected as governor of the province, leading the second candidate by almost 35 points.
Again in 2015, in a historic election, he achieved re-re-election as Governor of the province with approximately 51% of the votes.
