Journalist and filmmaker based in Oakland, California. Her work on human rights and women rights issues around the world have appeared in Marie Claire, Ms Magazine, Al Jazeera, National Geographic News, Time.com, The Christian Science Monitor, The Atlantic and The American Interest.
She graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a major in International Political Economy and studied Humanitarian Law and International Economics at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C.
