Director of Social Responsibility of CEMEX and President of the Human Development Commission at the Council of Nuevo León.
She obtained several national and international academic degrees within the fields of politics, business and social responsibility and has worked in both the public sector and the private sector.
She currently serves as Vice President of Corporate Affairs as Director of Corporate Social Responsibility as well as Director of the CEMEX-Tec Monterrey Center for the Development of Sustainable Communities.
In her career she has been part of the team that has developed programs that have benefited more than 6 million Mexicans and that have been recognized by the UN, HABITAT, OAS, IDB, CEMEFI, CONCAMIN, among others, because they are programs designed for Multidimensional poverty relief. She also forms part of various executive councils of civil society organizations such as UN-HABITAT World Urban Forum, CEMEFI, AXTEL Foundation, SumaRSE, Citizen Integration Center, Community Development, AC, Private Sector Urban Planning Working Group – UNHABITAT, others.
Particularly, Martha has been selected and recognized by several institutions and media among which, the 10 most important women in the Construction Industry in Mexico by the Obras Magazine, since 2010 among the 100 most powerful women in business in Mexico by the Expansión group and within the 10 most important women of Corporate Social Responsibility in Mexico by CEMEFI.
