Sergio Fajardo holds a degree and a master’s degree in Mathematics from the Universidad de los Andes, and a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has been professor of numerous universities, he is an excellent speaker and researcher. He is considered the thinker who revolutionized the way of doing politics in Colombia. Mayor of Medellin during the period 2004-2007, was elected with the highest vote in the history of the city. He received the Best Mayor of Colombia Award in 2007. He was a candidate for the presidency of Colombia for the “Citizen Commitment” movement in 2010.
He was then elected governor of Antioquia for the period 2012 – 2015 and noted for his innovative capacity with high impact on social and public issues.
He has received the highest marks and acknowledgments for his management and today his name is mentioned as a strong candidate for the presidency of Colombia for the year of 2018.
